This turntable is built with Heart Pine salvaged from a house built in the 1820s on Oglethorpe Ave. here in Savannah. The turntable was discarded from a Georgia grade school and it’s components have been refurbished. We removed the paint from the turntable surface and applied an antiquing patina to create a unique symmetry with the old wood. The lamp, like a traditional japanese lamp, is made of rice paper. The lamp’s switch is hidden in the wood on the front of the turntable. The lower shelf is for records and the shelf above is convenient for the record sleeves while playing. It can also house a small receiver like the Marantz 2010.
